| My husband has had a guitar since I've known him (9 years!) but he never learned to actually play it. The worst part was he liked to keep it out of it's case and in plain view. Guests would come over and ask him to play something and he would tell them he didn't know how to play. So embarrassing!! (For me anyway).
He is a pilot so he is constantly traveling on random days, so private instruction was out of the question (even though it was too expensive anyway at $50 a lesson). I bought him instructional DVD's, online memberships but he would eventually get bored and quit. And the guitar would sit there. I came across Raw Talent guitar from a TV ad and I immediately placed an order. It came in 5 days and I gave it to my husband before he left on his next trip. Once he started playing with it he couldn't wait to call me and tell me how excited he was. Along with interesting lessons (I watched a video of the instructor Padrag giving a lesson and he was very engaging and funny!) my husbands favorite parts were the evaluator, amp effects and the licensed songs. He loves that he can put on head phones and rock out with all the effects, songs and jams he likes without bothering the other hotel guests (and me when he's at home). All he needs is his laptop, it's great! The best part is...he's learning real songs!!! Last week he couldn't wait to get home and play "Smoke on the Water" for me (one of the songs on the system). You can remove one of the guitar tracks and play along to the actual song. He played so well I thought it was the original song!
