At the end of last month, Raw Talent Guitar exhibited at the Summer NAMM 2011 trade show. (That’s National Association of Music Merchants for those who didn’t know.)
We were there to reach out to distributors and make it easier for guitar players to find our product in music stores, but we were shocked to discover that we were one of the few, if not the only, guitar education product with a guitar-to-USB cable.
Where were all the so-called interactive training products? You know, the games and “learn quick” techniques that promise to turn you into a rock star in two weeks?
By the third day of the show, I had not seen any companies showing product(s) designed to help you learn to play guitar. Since we had been quite busy at our booth, we didn’t walk around as much as we wanted to review the competition. I managed to break away from our group for a few minutes and walked up and down every aisle. I looked all over, but found only two attempts at interactive education one was a version of the now defunct Guitar Hero; the other was a learning tool focused on small children.
Most interactive training tools are to teach speaking a language. Too bad there weren’t more dedicated to learning an instrument!
We hoped NAMM attendees might have a competitor to review for comparison, but the lack there of left us to compare things like our lesson videos, filmed in hi-def with a two camera shoot at a professional studio, rather than the guitar-t0-USB Stealth Cable, which is included and featuerd with AmpliTube® amp & FX software.
Our the RT Evaluator® works with the cable and lets you know immediately just how well you are doing at each level of learning. But other than that, consumers may have felt we were the “regular stuff”, which we throw in as well, including a 150 page guidebook, such as chord generator, digital tuner, metronome, jam tracks, bonus tracks, etc.
We’re, Raw Talent, Inc.. We sell a revolutionary guitar training system. Another difference from the others: we exhibited at NAMM, spoke with over 300 people who came over to take a look at our product, Raw Talent Guitar®. Spoke with several Sales Representatives, made quite a few contacts with Store Owners and had a great time overall!
Hopefully, we’ll meet some competition at the Winter NAMM in Los Angeles.
