Lesson 4.3 – The Octave

In musical terms, an octave are a set of two notes that are the same, but higher or lower in pitch. If you remember from the last lesson – on the fretboard we went from the open e string (high e string) to the 12th fret. The 12th fret is the octave of the open strings, and you’ll notice they have the same pitch, just higher.
